Are you proud?
I feel like we should be proud of where we live…whether it is the best place on Earth or not. Choosing to see the positives in every situation can be a very rewarding skill and starting with where you live is a plus.
Every city has its perks; its sweet little nuances that make it special for the people who live there. For me and my family, that city is Toledo, Ohio. Born and raised in T-Town, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on the events happening in town and the places I want to make sure my family has memories with. Places I went to in my childhood or wished I had gone to because I heard wonderful things about it.
That all being said, I want to talk about one special resource we have at our fingertips…the Main Toledo Public Library. I rely on the library to bring fun, exciting, and practical experiences to enrich my kids and their environment. That’s right…I rely on them. It takes a village ya’ll and I utilize every square inch of mine. How are you utilizing your “village?”
Recently the library held an event where kids were able to decorate their own fairy door. Once their fairy door was complete, they went on a fairy scavenger hunt to win a prize. It was fun, creative, theme-packed, and memorable. Now that is my kind of event. Take a peek at the website link below for more fairy door events at different libraries in Lucas County and also the events coming up…they won’t disappoint. https://www.toledolibrary.org
