I’m always looking for a place to take my kids where there are endless exploring opportunities, a place to use your imagination and a place where the environment changes each time you go. 577 Foundation in Perrysburg, Ohio is just that. Anywhere from the used book sale to the fossil pile, there is endless fun Monday through Sunday 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

This little one has a heart unlike anything I have ever seen in such a small little one. Tears well up in my eyes when I think about her heart for others and bringing joy to those around her…it FAR outweighs bringing joy to herself…ever. She thrives on giving and seeing others be blessed.
Our family is blessed with three young girls who are a pleasure to be around and raise. My husband and I are truly blessed. As a family, we have fun together, we laugh together, and we enjoy spending time together. That being said, we also have three girls who can get on each others nerves. When summer hit for our oldest, it was evident that we needed a system set into place to make the transition into a new “norm” a bit easier and consistent when it came to everyone getting along. Being a former teacher, I am well aware that routines and consistency are key to success. Sure I could “wing it,” but why not set the girls up for success this summer.

I remember when I had my first child, I was always trying to fill the day with things to do. Down time was boring time for me so any time I had down time, I would look through the Toledo Parent, check out what the local libraries and parks were doing and reach out to friends for play dates. I enjoyed it but I’m not so sure my daughter appreciated all the running around all the time.
When able-bodied children have free range to play, run, jump, skip, swing, etc. at a public park, it truly segregates the little ones who weren’t blessed with those abilities to come easily. Having 3 kids who are affected by their gross motor abilities, I have seen firsthand the effects of going to your “average” playground where there isn’t much they can do.
The winter weather has FINALLY cleared, the flowers have bloomed and the days are a bit longer. What a relief! Being a momma during the winter months can seem long and tireless but being a momma in the summer when days are longer and playing is rougher can be even more trying.
Sitting a toddler down to discuss colors or shapes, manners or letters is just not something that makes sense nor would they sit long enough to hear what you have to share with them. It would be a developmentally inappropriate task and failure would make you feel defeated. But, we all have that desire for our children to learn, to learn well, and to excel. That is why I have made it easy for you.
